BEFORE & AFTER

Before

Regular use in a restaurant have created a plethora of knicks along the edge. This prevents the knife from preforming at its full potential.

After

The edge has been fully restored and sharpened to perfection. Now this beautiful Shun Pro Nakiri can go back to its owner and preform once again!

Before

Years of use and wear and tear have worn the blade away in particular areas and tarnished. The scissors could barely cut paper and snagged in certain spots.

After

These scissors were sharpened, repaired and now fully functional once more! You can see the shine where the tarnished metal was removed.

Before

This knife has worn away near the tip as well as near the handle. You can see the shape of the blade looks like it has a wavey look to it. This affects the knife's ability to cut against a cutting board.

After

The blade was first reshaped to remove the metal in the correct places. This left the knife with the correct shape. The knife was then sharpened like normal.

Before

You can see a massive chip in this knife blade. Most likely caused by a twisting motion in the cutting board instead of a smooth rocking motion.

After

This knife was repaired and sharpened to perfection! I always keep the life of the knife in mind an only remove as much metal necessary to fix!

Before

Years of incorrect sharpening have worn away the metal on the knife blade. Now the thick metal near the handle which is referred to as the bolster is sticking out and the shape of the blade is incorrect. This greatly affects the functionality especially when used on a cutting board.

After

These knives were sharpened and repaired to perfection! The equipment I use allows me to remove the thick bolster metal to restore the perfect shape of the knife. Then the knife is sharpened as usual and will now function as they did when they were new!
